THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE
UTAH ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, ARTS & LETTERS

The Annual Conference of the Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters will be held April 13, 2007 at Southern Utah University, Cedar City, Utah. Proposal for papers in all disciplines are welcome. A Poster Session is also available. Conference papers will be considered for publication in the refereed The Journal of the Utah Academy. Information for authors interested in submitting papers for publication in the journal will be provided at the conference. Papers are also eligible for consideration for a cash award for the “Best Paper” in their division. All presenters must be a UASAL member and are eligible to participate. Membership is $25 per year which includes lunch at the annual conference. UASAL Membership and Conference registration form is available on the following page of this announcement.
Send title of paper or poster and short abstract (150 words or less) by March 15, 2007 to the appropriate Division Chair (see Division Chair links).

Pre-registration is requested since luncheon reservation deadline is March 31, 2007. Same day registration will available, however lunch will not be available for same day registrants.
CALL FOR PAPERS: Interested scholars are invited to submit papers for presentation at the Conference. Use the Membership and Registration Form to join the Academy and register for the Annual Conference. Submission Deadline: March 15th. Paper submissions should be sent to the appropriate Division Chair listed below. The best paper in each division will be considered for a $200 award.
Presenters must be a member of the Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters. Pre-registration by mail is encouraged, however, same day registration is available. Membership is $25 which includes lunch at the conference or $15 for student presenters which does not include lunch. No credit cards can be accepted, payment must be by check or cash.
To be considered for publication in The Journal of the Utah Academy, papers must be submitted by May 30, 2007.
