Information for Oral Presentations

Oral presentations will be 30 minutes in length including questions.

PowerPoint Guidelines

If you are planning on using PowerPoint for a presentation, it is a good idea to bring the presentation on at least two types of media, i.e., USB drive or CD-Rom. Please plan on arriving early to check the compatibility of your media with the equipment we will provide.

In addition, anyone planning a PowerPoint presentation should bring a backup of the presentation on paper or transparencies. This will ensure maximum compatibility with the AV equipment available for your presentation.

Information for Performing/Visual Arts Presentations

Performances are limited to a 30-minute program.

Performing/visual arts presentations may include creative activities in music, dance, theater, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and video.  An abstract describing the performance or artistic work is required for submissions in the performing/visual arts.

Slides, photographs or videotapes of visual art pieces will help faculty reviewers assess the nature of materials under consideration. You should also indicate any facilities required for your presentation (recital hall, dance floor, gallery space, etc.).

Information for Poster Presentations

The Forum will provide display panels for hanging flat posters. Please let us know if you will require a table for additional materials.  Presenters must be available to discuss his/her/their display during the time scheduled for poster sessions.
