Teacher Education applicants

The Teacher Education Department has a selective admissions process, which is separate from Weber State University admission. Please review the Admission Requirements document listed below as well as the document for the specific program you are interested in. 

Admission Requirements, Checklist - This will provide you with the information necessary to apply for the teacher education program.

  Application  - This will provide you with the application for the teacher education program.

Elementary Education Major - This major will prepare you to teach in elementary education (grades 1-6).

Composite Elementary Education and Special Education - The composite major will prepare you to teach in regular elementary education (grades 1-6) and/or in special education (grades K - 12). Secondary Education Licensure - You will select a teaching major and a teaching minor or a composite teaching major in the subject areas you plan on teaching in the junior high/middle schools and high schools (grades 6 - 12).

Early Childhood Education Major - This  major will prepare you to teach in programs which serve children from infancy through third grade.  (grades pre-K - 3)

Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education Dual - This dual major will prepare you to teach in programs which serve children from infancy through sixth grade.  (grades pre-K - 6)
