1. How can I find out about scholarships?
You are eligible for departmental scholarships once you are admitted into the Teacher Education Program. Please go to http://weber.edu/scholarships  for more information including the application materials. You may also apply for the Terrel H. 2. Who do I contact for advisement?
If you have questions regarding your program of study, transcripts, registration, scholarships, graduation or licensing requirements, you will want to contact:

If you are obtaining a license in Secondary Education and you have questions regarding your teaching major/teaching minor or composite teaching major, you need to contact the specific department(s).  A link is provided below with names and contact information.

3.  What is the Praxis II content-area exam and when do I need to take it?
The Praxis Il content-area exam measures your content knowledge of the subjects you will teach.  Students who will be student teaching Fall 2005 and beyond in all disciplines must take Praxis II tests prior to student teaching in both their academic majors and minors. Please see the memorandum from Dr. Michael E. Cena for more detailed information.  It takes approximately four weeks before the results are returned, so please plan on taking the exam(s) at the beginning of the semester prior to the semester you plan to student teach.

4.  When are the Praxis II content-area exams given and where can I take it?
The Praxis exams will be offered at the Weber State University's Testing Center on the following dates:

. How do I register for the Praxis II content-area exams?
You will want to register through the Educational Testing Service's (ETS) website which is: www.ets.org/praxis/

. When do I apply for student teaching?
Clinical Practice (Student Teaching) is completed the last semester of your program of study.  There is a separate application for student teaching which is due the semester before you plan to student teach.  The deadline falls on the first Friday of the semester.  Please see the link for additional information.
