Radial Arm Saw

Before Turning On The Radial Arm Saw
1. Always wear safety glasses when operating any machinery.
2. Check blade for damage.
3. Make sure table is clear when cutting on the radial arm saw. The table should be clear at least the length of the stock you are cutting.
Operating Radial Arm Saw
1. Keep hands, fingers, and body clear of blade path.
2. Setup up cut, keep stock clear of blade, turn on saw, then pull saw through stock with moderate pressure, you may return saw through stock again before shutting off.
3. Avoid standing in line with blade while saw is in operation.
4. Hold wood firmly against fence while cutting.
5. Use moderate pressure while cutting. Pull saw toward you at a moderate speed. Do not force the saw into the wood.
6. Make sure blade has stopped before removing stock.
7. No ripping use table saw for that.
