Disc Sander

Before Turning On The Sander
1. Always wear safety glasses when operating any machinery.
2. Check disc for tears, breaks, and to make sure the sandpaper isn’t
worn out or full of pitch. Check disc to make sure it is securely
adhered to metal disc.
3. Do not use sander for gross shaping. Do that on band saw or lathe.
Use sander for surface finishing only.
Operating Sander
1. Only sand stock that is large enough to be held securely with both
hands.
2. Keep fingers and hands away from sandpaper at all times.
3. Keep stock clear of disc, turn on sander, then feed stock into
disc.
4. When sanding disc sander only sand on the side of the disc that
is rotating into the table. Usually the left side of the disc.
5. Clean disc with rubber feed when done sanding.
To clean disc
(1) Hold rubber feed on table.
(2) Press it lightly into the disc near the center of the disc while
it is spinning.
(3) Slowly move it out to the outer edge of the disk.
(4) Once clean turn off sander.
