From 1997–2003, what are examples of your most significant teaching developments, innovations, etc.

1997 - Created new honors course, “Physics in the Plays of Tom Stoppard.”
1998 - Wrote description of classroom hands-on activities (35 pages) and revised student lecture notes handout (100 pages) for Phsx 1360 (Principles of Physical Science, for pre-service elementary teachers).
1999 - Created materials for new course, Phsx 3540 (Mechanical and Electromagnetic Waves).
2001 - Presented two workshops, “E3: Exploring Europa’s Environment,” for Utah Science Teachers Association at BYU.
2002 - Member of panel discussion on “Scientist Teachers and Science Educators: Seeking Common Ground on Teaching and Learning Issues” at NSTA Western Regional Convention in Salt Lake City.
2003 - Free copies of CD-Rom software, Explorations of Physical Science: Simulation Library Vol. 2, by Bradley W. Carroll and Farhang Amiri (published by Physics Curriculum & Instruction) distributed to Utah high-school teachers.

1997 - Published Instructor's Solutions Manual for An Introduction to Modern Astrophysics,Bradley W. Carroll and Dale A. Ostlie, 274 pp, Addison Wesley.
1997 - Published "A Survey of the Introductory Physics Course," B. W. Carroll, in Conference on the Introductory Physics Course, J. Wilson (ed.), John Wiley & Sons.
1998 - Awarded USHE Technology and Distance Education Initiative proposal, “An Interactive Conceptual Physics Course Designed for On-Demand, Remote Access” (PI Sid Rudolph, University of Utah; Co-Principal Investigators Farhang Amiri and Bradley W. Carroll (WSU), Dorian Hatch and Phillip Dukes (BYU). WSU portion funded for $127,285.00.
1999 - With Dr. Dale Ostlie, completed revisions for 5th printing of An Introduction to Modern Astrophysics and the 2nd printing of the book’s Instructor’s Solutions Manual
2002 - CD-Rom software, Explorations of Physical Science: Simulation Library Vol. 2, by Bradley W. Carroll and Farhang Amiri, published by Physics Curriculum & Instruction. The software consists of 101 interactive physics animations and simulations.

1998 - Gave talk, “Self-Organized Criticality: Applications to Astrophysics,”at the Four Corners Sectional Meeting of the American Physical Society at BYU; abstract published in The Bulletin of the American Physical Society, 43, #10, 2150, 1998.
2000 - Gave talk, “Physics Animations and Simulations Using Macromedia’s Director 7,”at the Four Corners Sectional Meeting of the American Physical Society at The University of Arizona; abstract published in The Bulletin of the American Physical Society, 44, #9, 6, 2000 with Farhang Amiri as co-author.
