Generated several worksheets and summary handouts to supplement text.
Introduced 2 new labs (Diels-Alder and chromatography) into our curriculum.

Research, Scholarship, and Professional Growth Grant - $3289 (coupled with $1,000 from the Chemistry Department and $500 from Dean of Sciences = $4,789 Total)

Investigation of “A rapid & versatile route into 4-hydroxy amino acids: potential therapeutic agents for hyperglycemia.”
So far 7 undergraduate students have been involved in the project.

Vanderbilt University - Nashville, TN (Research Associate) 1998 - 2000

Utilized chiral Lewis acid complexes to enantioselectively allylate 2-pyrrolidinone analogues. Developed familiarity with radical based mechanisms.

State Science Review Committee (Chairman) 9/1/01 - current

March 18, 2002 (Jr. Science fair) and March 20, 2002 (Sr. Science fair)

Boy scout merit badge councilor for the Chemistry merit badge in the Mt. Ogden district.

Saturday January 12, 2002 instructed 3 different classes of boy scouts at a merit badge pow wow. Altogether 34 scouts attended the class. The following Saturday instructed the same scouts in a second presentation. Then on Saturday Jan. 26, gave them a tour of Weber St. Univ. science labs.
