WSU Computer & Information Literacy Requirement

Remember that you must register to take the CIL exams. 
Register just like any other course at WSU. 
Check the class schedule, choose the TBE exams you need, and register.


Students must contact instructor by e-mail at clapine@weber.edu or sign up for a time to take an exam once registered
for the course http://programs.weber.edu/cil  Failure to do so constitutes non-attendance and may result in no credit
unless the student officially withdraws from the class.

EXAM INFORMATION

  • Timed (one hour) exams are given in Elizabeth Hall, room 311 weekdays and selected Saturdays (Saturdays during fall and spring only).
  • Exams may be taken in any order.  Student ID required to take each test.
  • Register during regular registration period and pay for ˝ credit for each literacy exam before taking the exam.  Do not confuse registering for exams with signing up for a time to take an exam (two separate things to do).
  • Students can take each exam up to three times during semester.
  • A student’s name must appear on the rolls before taking an exam.  Subsequent “takes” (if student fails an exam) require proof of an additional fee and must be taken during the semester in which the student is registered.  If student does not pass an exam during the semester registered—online, taught, and lab courses are available to meet the requirement.
  • C- is required for passing both classes and CIL exams. Letter grade for classes and credit or no credit for exams.
  • WSU Wildcat e-mail account must be activated before taking an exam.
  • Online proctored exams available for those who live over 50 miles from the WSU main campus.  Fill out the online approval form located at this web site under online exams.
