Tester Instructions

To take a Chi Tester exam:
1. From a WSU computer
classroom or lab go to Netscape
Communicator or Internet Explorer. It will automatically take you to the WSU home page.
2. Start typing Chitester.weber.edu
at the URL or,
a. Go to Students (a
link on the home page)
b. Now choose Other
Links
c. And choose Chi
Tester Link
3. This will take you to the Chi
Tester home page.
4. Choose Take a Test.
5. Type in your Student ID
number. Your Student ID starts with an 88. DO NOT
TYPE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
6. Follow the instructions.
7. Choose the test you are
going to take. Example: TBE TD1504
Information Literacy Exam (it is usually the last test in the
list).
8. Take your test.

1. Open an Internet browser (Netscape
or Internet Explorer)
2. Type in http://www.weber.edu/registration
at the URL location
3. Click on "Online
Services for Students"
4. Enter your Soc. Sec. No.
under "Student ID"
5. Enter
your four digit pin number (if
you do not have a pin number you can get one with a photo ID at the
registration/Information window in the Student Services Center or
choose "Pin" on the right side of the registration
screen
6. At the next screen click
on "Enter Here"
7. Click on "View My
Personal Information"
8. Your student ID is on the
6th line down, under the heading of Student
ID

1. Go to Netscape
Communicator. It will take you to the WSU home page (or open
Internet Explorer and type http://www.weber.edu at the URL)
2. Go to Students
3. Choose E-mail/Student/Faculty
Directory (left
column)
4. Choose E-mail Account
Creation (left
column)
5. Choose Sign-Up (left
side of screen)
6. Follow instructions
or,
1. Type in http://www.weber.edu/eservices
at the URL in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Communicator. This address will take you right to the page where
one of the options is to sign up.

Communicator. It will take you to the WSU home page
2. Type http://www.weber.edu/registration
at the URL
3. Follow instructions for
Pin (under Grades) on right side of screen
To
Access the New Weber Student Mail System

1. Type in Mail.weber.edu
at the browser’s URL.
2. The screen will ask for
your name and password. Type in your first name and last name, initial
caps, lowercase or initial caps, no spaces (example: marykilpatrick or
MaryKilPatrick).
3. Then type your password
lowercase. Password is case sensitive.
4. The new e-mail screen will
appear. The choices will be:
a. Folders (create
folders to hold specific information).
b. Compose (type your
message here).
c. Address Book (personal
addresses are added here).
d. Preferences (set your
style such as passwords, colors, auto reply messages, etc.).
e. Logout
f. Rules (specific
information or rules for your e-mail. You
can apply a rule based on the sender's or receiver's email address
or on text found in the subject or body of the message. You can also
create a rule that applies to all messages unconditionally).
For others to contact you:
Your address will be your first and last name, @, and mail.weber.edu
(example MaryKilPatrick@mail.weber.edu) initial caps, upper or
lowercase, and no spaces).
