If you or a family you service need any financial help, legal help or just about

toy & book lending library, computer lab, free parent
classes and many many brochures and booklets on children's
issues.

PIRC Parent Information & Resource Center
Located in Davis County, their mission is to assist parents
in taking a proactive approach to developing a whole,
healthy family by making educational materials, training,
support, information, and other resources readily accessible
to all families in Davis County. They house a parent &
family lending library, they have access to technology &
information and offer workshops and forums for parents,
educators & the community.

They have a huge clearinghouse of
information in their information station. A wonderful resource for information
on children's issues. Much of it you can pass on to parents.

CDC
Center for Disease Control and Prevention. They no longer publish the ABC's of
Safe & Healthy Child Care, but they still have great information on disease
control on their web site.

The National Resource Center for Health & Safety
in Child Care
They produce Caring for Our Children: National Health &
Safety Performance Standards... The full text of this book is available
online at their website and searchable by keywords. You can also download one
page handouts on topics such as hand washing and daily health checks. They also
have licensing regulations for all 50 states available as full text and
searchable.

The American Academy of Pediatrics
Excellent source for information on children's health. They
keep up-to-date on current world issues and how that impacts
our children.

Antelope Island
Kids enjoy riding in the car over the water and watching the
buffalo. The beach is great in the summertime, but watch out
for the brine flies! Antelope Island is one of the sites
chosen for the Olympic torch relay.

Kids love dinosaurs! They are open year round and feature
more than 100 realistic sculptures, some even talk.

Aerospace Museum
Currently the Museum exhibits over 80 military aircraft,
missiles, and aerospace vehicles on the grounds and inside
the Major General Rex A. Hadley Gallery and the
Lindquist-Stewart Fighter Gallery. The museum collection
also includes a wide variety of ordnance, an assortment of
aerospace ground equipment, military vehicles, uniforms, and
thousands of other historical artifacts.
