Student Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing the Masters in Criminal Justice program, students will:

1.  Gain knowledge of graduate level research methodology.

2.  Understand the variety of theories dealing with the course of crime and delinquency and be able to apply them – personally and professionally.

3.  Develop an understanding of definitions, issues, influences and methods utilized in criminal justice policy making and implementation.

4.  Gain an awareness and understanding of contemporary policies, practices and issues facing the various agencies of the criminal justice system.

5.  Understand the principles of public sector budgeting and develop an entire criminal justice agency budget.
