Student Learning Outcomes

(1) Graduates will be able to demonstrate competency in oral and/or written communication skills including ability to plan, organize, research and present reports using emerging technologies.

  • This department goal supports several university goals such as providing a high quality education to our students, equipping them with a solid foundation for success in their careers, enhancing the University’s role as a fountainhead of information, and enhancing leadership abilities of our graduates.

(2) Graduates will have an ongoing, professional, and interactive relationship with the business community in the University’s service area.

  • This department goal supports department mission goals in providing students with high quality educational and employment opportunities. Additionally, exposure to a variety of perspectives from a diverse group of business professionals will enable our students to individual differences as well as emerging trends in business. Building a strong relationship with the business community will help generate additional funds in the form of scholarships and financial contributions.

(3) Graduates will exhibit knowledge of theoretical concepts, ideas, and topics taught in the areas of Management, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain Management

  • This department goal assists the University in developing students who are competent professionals and are both knowledgeable and informed in their respective disciplines.

(4) Graduates will become proficient in interpersonal/human relation skills while acquiring the ability to effectively work in a team environment.

  • This goal supports various goals that enable our students to become leaders, appreciate diversity, function effectively in a diverse multi-cultural environment.

(5) Graduates will be offered opportunities for placement in positions befitting their education and with competitive salaries.

  • This goal supports our mission to help students contribute to organizations in the community, state, nation, and world.
