As a result of completing the course work and capstone thesis, a BIS student should have developed:

1. Knowledge in three disciplinary areas;
2. Critical thinking skills;
3. Appropriate research skills for one or more disciplines;
4. Organizational and time management skills necessary for completing the course work contract and capstone;
5. An ability to synthesize three disciplines into an integrated program;
6. A plan for the next step, either in a particular career or graduate program.
