  1. Program Changes/Future Plans.

Program changes based on assessment results include:

  1. Feedback from our focus group and oral exit interviews indicate an ongoing desire for more MBA elective course choices. One new elective added to the 2005-6 schedule: Tax Issues for Business Decisions.
  2. New destination developed for MBA 6520 International Business Field Study. Two week trip to Beijing and Shanghai conducted in May, 2006 with over 20 student and faculty participants.
  3. Student exchange agreements explored with potential partner schools in Europe at AACSB International Annual Meeting, April 2006. Collaboration with University of Arkansas and University of Caen (France) planned for Summer 2007 to enable MBA students to participate in study abroad program to France.
  4. Oral exit interviews begun Fall 2005 to supplement data from written exit interviews; return rate on written exit interviews improved as surveys now administered, collected during exit interviews.
  5. Second annual MBA networking event held Salt Lake City, providing a forum for regional employers to meet with students and alumni from MBA Programs of Idaho State University, Utah State University, Weber State University, Westminster College (Intermountain MBA Consortium). Student and employee attendance expanded with addition of University of Utah and Brigham Young University to Consortium.
  6. Course evaluation instrument revised and a scantron input form created, facilitating departmental-level analysis of evaluation results, which are shared with MBA faculty.
  7. Meetings with Admissions and Registrar’s Office to streamline graduate admissions process, declaration of program of study.
  8. Work-study assistance hired to assist MBA secretary with data entry, updating student records.
