2004-2005 (submitted 11/07/07)

  1. Assessment Activities.
    • Ongoing refinement of program assessment plan.
    • Ongoing curriculum development (elective courses).
    • Standardized learning outcomes assessment using nationally- benchmarked data (ETS MBA Major Field Survey) in capstone Strategic Management course - March and August 2005 (results are summarized below).
  2. Challenges.
    • Banner conversion process presents numerous challenges in terms of revised admissions, advisement and graduation clearance procedures, as well as the retrieval of accurate enrollment data.
    • Departure of MBA Department Secretary created a backlog of administrative housekeeping tasks until adequate replacement was found.
  3. Assessment Results.
    • Beginning in the Fall 2004 Semester, the new MBA foundations quantitative methods sequence was offered, with two, 8-week, 3 credit hour courses (MBA 6050 / 6051).
    • Two additional electives were added to the 2004-5 schedule: International Marketing and Project Management.
    • First MBA networking event held in Davis Convention Center, providing a forum for regional employers to meet with students and alumni from MBA Programs of Idaho State University, Utah State University, Weber State University, Westminster College (Intermountain MBA Consortium).  Event developed and planned as a result collaboration between WSU MBA Enrollment Director and Career Services offices of above-named institutions.
    • MBA Major Field Test Results placed our students between the 80th and 95th percentile across the five content areas:
