IDT 3020 American and Modern Interiors

Outcome 1: Students will demonstrate a knowledge base and the ability to acquire information in order to practice Interior Design.

Assessment Inputs & Outcomes:

  • Written and oral report on assigned Videos

  • Oral Presentations

  • Quizzes

  • Tests

  • Semester Project-Time line researching past influences, architecture, interiors, furnishings & art

Assessment Results by Students, Interior Design Faculty, and Instructor:

  • Developed a level of criteria for the semester project-time line.

  • Developed methods of research for historical and modern styles of architecture, interiors, furnishings & art.

  • Developed a desire to understand art and its reason for being.

  • Demonstrated a desire for knowledge and understanding of history.

  • Expanded the level of visual, oral & written presentation.

Institutional Changes to be Adopted:

  • Develop take home quizzes to come with reading assignments.

  • Students will submit 3 drafts of their semester project.

  • Students will be reminded to take lecture notes.

  • Students will critique each other on major assignments.
