Assessment Outcomes:
• Criteria for addressing a higher level of writing skills was developed
and incorporated.
• Student written assignments are presented visually to class members for
critiquing and changes made in class, reworked and submitted to the
instructor.
• Students are strongly encouraged to use state-of-the-art software for oral
and visual presentations.
• Senior portfolios will be of three to four types: original work, desktop
published, CD & web based.
• Professional mentors are assigned to senior students.
Assessment Results: (instructors)
• Written, oral, visual & technological skills have improved. Continuous
attention is needed.
• Craftsmanship in visual presentations needs addressing.
• Digital, bitmap imaging & vector drawing address a higher level of
technology.
• Basic art courses will improve visual communication

• Additional art courses
• Proficiency in hand drafting
